Volt is immediately hiring for a Quality Specialist in Commerce,
Ca.
This is a Full-Time/Direct Hire opportunity.
Schedule: Enjoy a flexible start time (between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM,
discussable with manager).
Compensation: $70-80k Annually (Discretionary bonuses are available
but not guaranteed.)
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of relevant quality experience in an plastic
manufacturing (or similar) industry setting.
Essential proficiency and hands-on experience with QAD and an
Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS).
Associate's degree OR equivalent relevant work experience is
required. (Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred).
Strong understanding of specification management, document control
processes, and general quality systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and
specifications.
Previous experience communicating professionally and technically
directly with customers.
Experience in an ISO or FDA-regulated industry is a plus.
Internal auditing experience or training is beneficial.
As a Quality Specialist you will:
Receive customer drawings/specifications and translate them into
the internal specification process.
Manage specification review meetings to ensure timely
implementation.
Administer specification data, Bill-of-Materials, and related
information within the QAD system.
Manage the electronic document management system (EQMS), including
document change control.
Act as the key interface between Sales/Marketing, R&D, and
Quality regarding specifications.
Serve as the Quality representative during R&D trial
activities.
Review and evaluate Vision System output data for quality
disposition.
Participate actively in internal and customer audits.
Facilitate coordination of new formats for manufacturing/quality
documents.
Support QC functions as a backup for in-process inspection when
required.
