  • Job Details
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program and safety standards.
  • Maintains the QC program mandated by the regulation or accrediting agencies (ACR).
  • Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment and devices pertinent to the care and safety of the patient.
  • Assists physician in such procedures as needle biopsies, renal biopsies, etc.
  • Performs the duties of C.T. Technologist - Obtains image quality according to the principles & techniques for diagnostic radiology/fluoroscopy/ and Computerized Tomography.
  • Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
  • Coordinates the workflow with team members for C.T.
  • Follows appropriate protection protocols for other employees and/or family members in the Radiology area.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.

      • Participates in Call coverage for the Services.

        • Unit Specific Information
        • Follows infection control guidelines, changes linen after each use and cleans room as required.
          • Additional Details
          • Performs computerized axial tomography imaging and special procedures as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures.
          • Conducts work in a manner consistent with the organization's mission and regulatory compliance requirements.
          • Receives authorization prior to working overtime; appropriately uses work time regardless if volume is high or low.
